A.E. Crandall Hook and Ladder Company
 A.E. Crandall Hook and Ladder is an all volunteer company established in 1887. The company provides fire protection
(Alfred Fire Department) and emergency medical services
(Alfred Ambulance) in the village of Alfred. A.E.Crandall participates in the Allegany County mutual aid plan and also
has a dual response agreement with Alfred Station Voluteer
Fire Department for service in the Village and Town of Alfred.
